Tumblr announced that porn ban in December and many of users reacted by explaining the main cause of the site, the website not safe for work content.

Most of the user leave the platform after the announcement, and the traffic has dropped nearly around 30 percent since December.

Globally the Tumblr’s traffic in December at 521 million, but unlikely it had dropped to 370 million by February.

According to the Statista report, similarly the number of unique visitors around Tumblr. But the January 2019 it increases 437 million on Tumblr, compares to the last year of July 2018 that 642 million visitors.

The Tumblr ban definite post from public view, including any kind of media that depicted sex acts, expose genitals, female-presenting, nipples, boobs etc.

Besides that, some of the user constraints of the ban and one user also say they’re still seeing porn on Tumblr. Also says the platform was mainly known for its NSFW content, which was not usually just porn that could be found on any number of substitute sites.
